For more than 15 years, SmartShift’s president and founder, Tyler Janzen, has managed over 75 unique campaigns and programs at the national, provincial/state, and regional levels for more than 40 clients across North America.

During this time, he worked on a wide range of public health topics, including: tobacco/vaping prevention and cessation, healthy eating, physical activity, flu and COVID vaccinations, mental health stigma, opioid and other substance use, social isolation, sudden cardiac arrest and other chronic disease related programs.

Before the Floor

This campaign was designed to address high-risk drinking among young adults. Binge drinking is a widely accepted behaviour that is tied to the social lives of many young adults who use drinking as a mechanism to achieve social acceptance and a sense of belonging.

True North Strong

This tobacco prevention campaign was specifically designed to appeal to young adults who value living an outdoor, generally more rural lifestyle because research indicated this group is more likely to use tobacco than other young people in Ontario.
